All participants are expected to contribute to a positive, respectful, and supportive environment both on and off the court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Competition Schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The competition will take place over three days (Thursday to Saturday) and will follow the format outlined below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Eight teams will participate, divided into two groups. Group allocation will consider results from last year\u2019s IAG, with seeding applied to avoid top teams meeting in the round-robin phase.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The round-robin phase will take place on Thursday (two rounds) and Friday morning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage: semifinals on Friday afternoon and the final on Saturday morning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If scheduling permits, an additional match may be played to determine 5th place.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The final match format will be confirmed during the captains\u2019 meeting, where proposals will be discussed and agreed upon collectively.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Team formation will follow the tennis rules published on the IAG website.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participants who are not part of a team will be assigned to a team by the coordinator.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Competition Format<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Each team will consist of 10 players: 5 men and 5 women.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each team encounter will include five matches:<br>\u2022 Men\u2019s singles<br>\u2022 Women\u2019s singles<br>\u2022 Men\u2019s doubles<br>\u2022 Women\u2019s doubles<br>\u2022 Mixed doubles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The team that wins at least three out of five matches will win the encounter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each player may participate in only one match per team encounter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The detailed match format (e.g., number of sets, scoring system) will be agreed upon at the captains\u2019 meeting, taking into account court availability and scheduling needs, and in line with IAG and ITF rules.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>More information: <a href=\"https:\/\/interagencygames.org\/?page_id=125\">https:\/\/interagencygames.org\/?page_id=125<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Match Regulations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Each participant may represent only one team throughout the tournament.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each participant may play only once per team encounter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Team line-ups must be clearly communicated before the start of each encounter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any changes to team composition must be agreed upon by the coordinator and the respective team captains.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Officiating and Fair Play<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The coordinator will oversee the competition and make final decisions in case of unresolved disputes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Matches will generally be self-officiated by players not currently competing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All participants are expected to act with honesty and integrity when making line calls and keeping score.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scores must be announced clearly before each point.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In case of disagreement, players should first try to resolve the issue respectfully. If no agreement can be reached, the coordinator will make a final decision.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the end of each match, both team captains must confirm and sign the result.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Match Procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A warm-up period of up to 5 minutes is allowed before each match.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Matches must start on time. Delays may affect scheduling and could result in penalties or default.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The serving player\/team is responsible for announcing the score before each point.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Completed scorecards must be submitted promptly to the coordinator after each match.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facilities &amp; Equipment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Matches will be played on official clay tennis courts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tennis balls will be provided by the organizers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Health, Safety, and Participation Disclaimer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By registering for the tournament, participants confirm that they:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Consider themselves physically able to participate in tennis activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understand that participation involves a risk of injury and accept responsibility for their own health and well-being.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agree to play within their limits and to stop playing if they feel unwell or at risk of injury.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agree to follow the rules of the competition, as well as general tennis etiquette and principles of respect and inclusion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accept that decisions made by the coordinator are final.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The organizers cannot be held responsible for injuries, accidents, or loss of personal belongings during the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>We look forward to a tournament that reflects the values of teamwork, respect, diversity, and enjoyment of sport.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear participants, Welcome to the Tennis Competition at this year\u2019s Inter-Agency Games.
