Pool Billiards 2026

Welcome to the 2026 IAG Pool-Billiards (8-Ball) Competition.

Hi everyone! I’m Orgil-Erdene Ganbold, the coordinator for this year’s pool billiards competition. I’m a hobby player—so don’t expect trick shots from me, but I do enjoy the game a lot 🙂. I joined the 2024 IAG Pool Billiards Competition and had such a great time that I couldn’t stay away this year.

Competition

The Pool-Billiards (8-Ball) competition will take place over two days, on:

  • 7 May
  • 8 May

Schedule:
Daily from 10:00 to 18:00 hours.

Venue

The tournament will take place at Champion Billiards, one of the most popular spots for pool in Heraklion.

It’s a friendly and comfortable venue with a great atmosphere, and everything you need for a good game—whether you’re competing seriously or just enjoying the experience. There’s also a bar and café on-site, so you can grab a drink, relax, and enjoy the matches. At present, 4 tables have been reserved for our competition.

Rules

The competition shall be held in accordance with the General Rules of the game and the Eight Ball Rules as approved by the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA). Please kindly ensure that you are familiar with the 8-ball rules.

Format

Teams consist of two players. The competition will be played in two groups using a round robin format. The exact match format and schedule may be adjusted depending on the number of participants and available time.
